Job 38:18-28

18Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth? Tell me, if you know all this.

19 "What is the way to the abode of light? And where does darkness reside? 20 Can you take them to their places? Do you know the paths to their dwellings? 21Surely you know, for you were already born! You have lived so many years!

22"Have you entered the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of the hail, 23which I reserve for times of trouble, for tays of war and battle? 24What is the way to the place where the lightning is dispersed,or the place where the east winds are scattred over the earth?  25Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain, and a path for the thunderstorm, 26to water a land where no man lives, a desert with no-one in it, 27to satisfy a desolate wasteland and make it sprout with grass? 28Does the rain have a father? Who fathers the drops of dew? 29From whose womb comes the ice? Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens 30when the waters become hard as stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen?

31"Can you bind the beautiful Pleiades? Can you loose the cords of Orion? 32Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons or lead out the Bear with its cubs? 33Do you know the laws of heavens? Can you set up God's dominion over the earth?

34"Can you raise your voice to the clouds and cover yourself with a flood of water? 35Do you send the lightning bolts on their way? Do they report to you, 'Here we are'? 36 Who endowed the hearth with wisdom or gave understanding to the mind? 37Who has the wisdom to count the clouds? Who can tip over the water jars of the heaven 38when the dust becomes hard and the clods of earth stick together?

Psalm 84:3-5

3 Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young - a place near your altar, my King and my God. 4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. selah

The family swallow has a new home.  And that is great for these small birds. Sometimes you see them leaping around in your garden. Always on their guard. This time you see them, the other time they're gone again to who knows where. Their new home is a beautiful spot. A fine living, also for their children.

Are you also looking for a new home? Are you also looking for a place to come at ease? God wants to be your estate agent and more than that. He has a place where you will feel at home for certain. He offers you a marvellous house: it is his own. God wants your to live with him. No, not on a short visit. Or staying for a few nights. Living, for ever. Go to Him and ask a place in his house. He wants to give you rest about your failures and faults, your sins and your shortcomings, in your sorrow and diseases. Living costs: none.

Take some time today to think about Gods home offering. What would you win by living with Him?

Johannes 1:1-5

Jakobus 4:12 / James 4:12

Er is maar één Wetgever en Rechter: Hij die bij machte is te redden of in het verderf te storten. Maar wie bent u om uw naaste te veroordelen?

God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbour?

1 Tessalonicenzen 2:12-13

12. Moge de Heer uw liefde voor elkaar en ieder ander groter maken, zodat uw liefde even overvloedig wordt als onze liefde voor u. 13. Moge de Heer u door die liefde kracht geven, zodat u zuiver en heilig voor onze God en Vader zult staan wanneer onze Heer Jezus komt met al zijn engelen. Amen.
